Patient Rights
Gifted Skills Health is committed to respecting your rights as a patient. We provide mobile phlebotomy and health services in Virginia.
1. Right to Respectful Care
You have the right to receive considerate, respectful, and non-discriminatory care regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or other protected characteristics. Our staff will treat you with dignity and professionalism at every visit.
2. Right to Information
You have the right to receive information about our services, staff credentials, and what to expect during your visit. You may ask questions about the phlebotomy procedure, how to prepare, and how results will be communicated. We will provide information in a language and format you can understand, to the extent reasonably possible.
3. Right to Privacy and Confidentiality
Your health information will be kept confidential in accordance with our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable Virginia law. We will not discuss your information with others without your authorization except as permitted or required by law.
4. Right to Access Your Records
You have the right to request access to your health records maintained by us, subject to limited exceptions under law. We will respond to your request in accordance with HIPAA and state requirements. You may also request that copies be sent to a designated person.
5. Right to Voice Concerns
You have the right to voice complaints or concerns about your care or our services without fear of retaliation. We will work to address your concerns in a timely manner. You may also file a complaint with us or with state or federal agencies as described in our HIPAA Notice.
6. Right to Refuse or Withdraw Consent
You have the right to refuse a procedure or withdraw consent, to the extent permitted by law. We will explain the implications of refusal when appropriate. Refusal or withdrawal of consent will not affect your right to future care or to exercise other rights.
7. Right to a Safe Environment
You have the right to receive care in a safe environment. We follow strict infection control and safety protocols. You also have a responsibility to provide a safe and appropriate environment for our staff when we come to your location.
